Rotary Tamil nadu, in partnership with Namma School Namma Ooru Palli, is on a mission to create world-class WASH facilities in Government schools (37,500+ Schools)
The CARE4Schools (Community Action for Reviving Education in Schools) mission focuses on establishing and maintaining a thousand WASH facilities in 1000 Government schools, building school infrastructure, improving the quality of education and undertaking renovations & repairs.

AboutCARE4Schools (Community Action for Reviving Education in Schools) is a pioneering mission of Namma School Namma Ooru Palli (NSNOP), committed to transforming Government schools across Tamil Nadu through partnerships with community-focused philanthropic organizations.
In addition to building infrastructure, the CARE4Schools mission in partnership with Rotary is to sustain and maintain through ensuring continuous housekeeping, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) facilities and create safe, clean and inclusive environments where every child can thrive.
As the largest philanthropic partnership for Schools, Rotary joined hands with Namma School, Namma Ooru Palli and the Department of School Education under the CARE4Schools Programme to create the Rotary - CARE4Schools Mission.
Officially launched at Lead 25 – Aim High, Rotary India Leadership Conclave on August 23, 2025, the Rotary - CARE4Schools Mission was launched in the presence of the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin, by the Hon’ble Minister for School Education Thiru Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Rtn. Francesco Arezzo, Rotary International President and Rtn. AKS Er. Muruganandam M (MMM), Rotary International Director.
With an ambitious target to reach 1,000 Government schools this year, - Rotary - NSNOP’s CARE4Schools Mission through Rotary Clubs in Tamil Nadu focuses on improving hygiene, supporting differently- abled children and empowering girls through access to clean, well-maintained toilets and hand-wash stations. A key enabler of this mission is the Rotary - Namma School Dashboard, a custom digital platform that tracks progress, mobilizes resources and connects Rotary Clubs, CSR partners and district administration to on-ground needs.
By bridging leadership vision with community action, Rotary - CARE4Schools Mission is rewriting the future of public education.
The Focus1) Build / Renovate / Maintain world-class WASH infrastructure in 1000 govt.schools
2) Toilets, Handwash stations, CWSN friendly Toilets, Hand rails, Ramps, Water connections
3) Ensure maintenance and upkeep of WASH facilities for sustainable impact

2) Focus solely on maintenance & housekeeping of existing WASH facilities
*Housekeeping: Clubs will ensure regular housekeeping and upkeep for 3 years
1) Exclusive School Websites: Each Government school has a dedicated Palli Chaalaram portal with basic information, photos and achievements.
2) Club Access: Rotary clubs can easily access these portals to learn about their chosen schools.
3) Sponsorship Benefits: Sponsoring a school's Palli Chaalaram website will display Rotary's logo on the school's website and position Rotary as a committed well-wisher, enhancing credibility with business entities and donors.
4) Visibility & Impact: A dedicated tab on each portal will highlight Rotary-NSNOP projects and improvements providing transparent visibility of WASH facility transformations.
5) Fundraising Support: Increased visibility helps clubs engage effectively with potential CSR partners and donors by demonstrating tangible impact.
